When you have selected Stress-Free Insurance a replacement tyre is covered. This means if you have a flat tyre or other tyre damage, the cost of replacing/fixing the tyres is covered.

In case of a flat tyre, you simply change it and use the spare tyre. Then, the next step is to contact the friendly Spaceships Crew so we can get you to an approved Bridgestone tyre centre / workshop to get the flat tyre replaced/fixed. Spaceships has an account with Bridgestone New Zealand, so our crew will always direct you to the nearest Bridgestone Tyre Centre.

Do not go to a tyre centre / workshop without prior approval from Spaceships or our Roadside Assistance Team, as this may lead to you not getting the costs refunded!

As we have an account with Bridgestone all repairs at their centres will be done on our account, once you have gotten approval from us, either from our Crew or Roadside Assistance Team.

On all other insurance levels, the cost of fixing the tyre will be taken from the bond. Only Stress-Free Insurance comes with two replacement tyres included. Compare the insurance levels to see what is and isn't covered.

Need assistance replacing the flat tyre?

If you aren't comfortable replacing the flat tyre, you can call Roadside Assistance (24 hours) for help but you'll have to pay the call-out fee for Roadside Assistance yourself, this isn't covered by Stress-Free Insurance as only the tyre is covered.
